Why you should Change your Car Oil
Changing your oil is not a weekly task, but every 3000 miles or so you may want to consider changing your oil. There’s no doubt that improvements have been made relating to car oils, but oil level can drop. And rather than just added some oil, and oil change is good for the engine.
Today if you let your oil drop, there’s a good chance you’re going to increase engine wear, which can lead to pricey repairs. Some argue that today; even with the improvement in oils, it’s never been more important to change oil more regularly.
Older engines will rely heavily on oil pressure to regulate valve timing and apply tension to the belt or chain. It is important to check your own vehicle manual, as it should state the allowed time before making an oil change.
Make sure your ‘check engine’ light doesn’t come on, and avoid costly repairs by changing your oil on a regular basis.
