Camouflaged Opel Astra Sedan Spotted – Should the Buick Verano Get This Design
Remember that 991-series Porsche 911 Turbo we spotted testing in Sweden last week Well that wasn’t the prototype we caught testing – we also managed to snap a number of pictures within the deep freeze near the Arctic Circle of an updated Opel Astra sedan, a car that’s mechanically on the topic of the Buick Verano.
Snapped by senior features editor Jonny Lieberman, these images show what looks to be a mildly updated Astra sedan. Upfront, the Astra four-door a rather different grille than other Astra sedans and the waterfall grille we get at the Buick Verano, with a far larger badge, but an otherwise identical design. The revised grille could belong to a Vauxhall version of the Astra sedan, considering the Opel version is a brand new model.
Though the rear of this Astra sedan was most camouflaged, we’re undecided why, because it looks to be clone of the production Opel Astra’s rear end. Again, the camo might just be hiding a brand new badge. When the Buick Verano is set for its face-lift in a pair model years, we wonder if any of the design touches at the Opel Astra four-door might sound at the U.S.-market Buick.
Since the Astra rides at the same platform because the Buick Verano, would you rather have the outside styling of the Astra pictured below or the Buick Verano
